LOCTITE® EA 0151, also known as Hysol® Product 0151, is a clear, two-component, room temperature or heat-curable epoxy adhesive. It is supplied as a 100% solids, thixotropic paste, easy to mix, and features a long pot life of 60 minutes (for a 100-gram mass at 25°C). Its cured form exhibits optical clarity, making it suitable for applications where the bond line needs to be visually inspected.

This product is designed for multi-material bonding applications that require high strength and reliability. Upon mixing, the adhesive cures to a clear state, ensuring aesthetic appeal or light transmission at the bond line. The data sheet recommends it for bonding glass, metals, circuit boards, fiber optics, and many plastics, demonstrating excellent material compatibility. It offers flexible curing options, achieving full cure either after three days at room temperature or through accelerated heat cures (e.g., 2 hours at 140°F), accommodating diverse production schedules.

LOCTITE EA 0151 exhibits outstanding electrical insulation properties and low outgassing characteristics after cure, making it particularly suitable for precision electronics and aerospace applications. Its typical electrical properties include a dielectric strength of 1080 V/mil, a dielectric constant of 3.88 (at 1 kHz), and an exceptionally high volume resistivity of 1.26x10^15 ohm/cm. According to NASA 1124 testing, its Total Mass Loss (TML) is 1.51% and Collected Volatile Condensable Material (CVCM) is as low as 0.01%, meeting the stringent outgassing requirements for space applications.
