ShinEtsu KE-1300T High-Strength Addition-Cure RTV Silicone Rubber for Precision Molding & Tooling

ShinEtsu KE-1300T (with CAT-1300 catalyst) is a two-component, translucent/white addition-cure Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) silicone rubber. Designed specifically for high-hardness, high-strength mold making, it features a 10:1 weight mix ratio and cures to a Shore A 40 elastomer with excellent mechanical properties.

Shin-Etsu KE-1300T/CAT-1300 is a high-strength, high-modulus mold making and potting compound utilizing addition polymerization. It offers excellent tear resistance and low shrinkage, ensuring dimensional accuracy. Its superior release properties facilitate easy demolding from complex masters, making it an ideal choice for durable industrial molds.

The core advantage of this product lies in its extremely high tear strength (up to 17 kN/m) and high elongation of 400%, providing excellent durability and resilience to withstand repeated casting cycles without tearing. Additionally, the cured material is sandable, allowing for post-cure surface finishing, which is particularly useful in roller and belt manufacturing processes requiring precision trimming. Its wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +175°C) ensures stability in harsh environments.

Beyond standard industrial mold making (for casting polyurethane, epoxy, wax, and gypsum), KE-1300T is widely used in the manufacturing of industrial rollers and conveyor belts due to its high strength and abrasion resistance, providing the required non-stick surface and mechanical robustness.
