ShinEtsu KS-66 is an oil-based silicone antifoam with 100% active content, whose main components are dimethicone and silicic acid. It is a gray translucent liquid with a specific gravity of 1.01 and a kinetic viscosity of 300 at 25°C, packaged in 18kg specifications.

As a high-safety oil compound type antifoam independently developed by ShinEtsu, KS-66 is not only a defoamer but also a texture modifier, which is widely used in personal care, cosmetics and various industrial production fields. It is specially designed for defoaming of oil-based and solvent-free systems, with no water or diluent added in the formula, so it can exert concentrated defoaming effect with a small amount of addition, and has excellent performance in practical application.

ShinEtsu KS-66 has the core characteristics of low surface tension far lower than water and common synthetic oils, and its surface tension can be as low as 20-25 mN/m, which can quickly destroy the stability of foam film and realize rapid defoaming and long-term foam inhibition. It has high chemical stability and heat resistance, can work stably in the environment of -20℃ to 200℃, resist the erosion of acid, alkali and organic solvents, and maintain good defoaming performance in chemically aggressive systems such as solvent-based and resin-rich formulations. At the same time, it has excellent shear stress stability, and will not reduce the defoaming effect due to high-speed mixing, pumping and coating operations in industrial production. In addition, it has passed the relevant certification of food hygiene law, has no preservatives in its formula, will not affect the microbial flora, and has high safety in food and fermentation industry applications.

ShinEtsu KS-66 is widely used in various industrial fields and daily chemical field with its excellent performance. In the floor coating industry, it controls foam in water and solvent-based floor coatings to ensure smooth film formation and uniform surface, and also solves the pinhole and shrinkage problems in coating production.
