In many industries, such as automotive, home appliances, office equipment, and electronics manufacturing, lubrication between plastic components is critical. However, chemical components in many conventional lubricants can adversely react with plastics—particularly engineering plastics like polycarbonate (PC), polyacetal (POM), and ABS—leading to stress cracking. Shin-Etsu's G-501 grease is specially formulated to significantly reduce the risk of causing stress cracking in plastics.
