Molykote D-6600 is a heat-curing dry-film lubricant composed of solid lubricants, organic binder, and organic solvent. It is a yellowish liquid with a density of 0.93 g/ml and a flash point of 26°C (79°F). It features excellent wear protection and is suitable for metal/metal and metal/plastic material pairings.

Product Introduction

Molykote D-6600 is designed for applications involving slow to medium-fast movements and medium to low pressure conditions. It effectively reduces the coefficient of friction and provides excellent load-carrying capacity. The recommended dry-film thickness is 10 to 15 μm, and it can be applied by spraying, dipping, or dip-spinning. The curing schedule is simple, requiring only 20 minutes at 200°C.

Special Properties

This lubricant offers excellent adhesion to metals and good corrosion protection. It is particularly suitable for metal/plastic pairings (such as POM and PA), effectively eliminating noise. According to VDA 230-206 testing, after 2,500 cycles, it maintains a low coefficient of friction with no noise. Additionally, it solves technical problems where oils or greases cannot be used or are undesirable due to the risk of soiling.
