KE-4890 cures at room temperature into a tough, durable elastomer and exhibits excellent unprimed adhesion to metals, plastics, glass and ceramics. It is designed for sealing and bonding applications in electronic and electrical devices requiring flame retardancy and electrical insulation.
This product is a thixotropic paste (non-slump) suitable for vertical application and complex grooves. Low-molecular-weight siloxane stripped to minimize contact migration issues. It offers volume resistivity of 6 TΩ·m and dielectric strength of 25 kV/mm, usable from -40°C to +180°C, with tack-free time ~8 min and full cure in 7 days @ 23°C/50% RH.
Typical applications include form-in-place gasketing (FIPG) for electronic enclosures, moisture/ dust sealing of PCBs and electronic components, sealing of power supply modules, protection and fixing of electronic parts in household appliances (refrigerators, air conditioners), and sealing of automotive electronic control units.
