AW106/HV953U features a mix ratio of 100:80 by weight or 100:100 by volume, ensuring easy handling. With a pot life of 100 minutes for 100g of mixed adhesive at 25°C, it provides ample time for large-scale applications. Once cured, the adhesive layer exhibits high shear and peel strength, maintaining stability even under harsh conditions such as severe vibration or temperature fluctuations ranging from -50°C to 100°C.

Typical Application Scenarios
  • Automotive Manufacturing and Repair: Ideal for bonding vehicle body panels and component fixation, replacing traditional welding to reduce weight and enhance fatigue resistance.
  • Electronic Device Encapsulation: Used for heat sink and sensor housing bonding, with excellent dielectric strength (22-27 kV/mm) ensuring device safety.
  • Aerospace and Rail Transportation: Bonds lightweight composite components, passing DIN 53489 electrolytic corrosion tests to meet long-term weathering demands.
  • Crafts and Industrial Design: Enables seamless bonding of glass and ceramic decorations, with a transparent cured layer for aesthetics and durability.

Huntsman recommends pre-treatment of substrates (e.g., abrasion, degreasing) to optimize bonding performance. After curing for 16 hours at 40°C, the average lap shear strength of aluminum-aluminum joints exceeds 20 MPa (ISO 4587 standard).
