ITW Engineered Polymers has officially launched the Plexus MA830, a two-part methacrylate structural adhesive designed to meet the demands for high-efficiency and high-reliability structural bonding in industrial manufacturing. It is specifically optimized for the assembly of metals, thermoplastics, and composites.
The most notable feature of Plexus MA830 is its ability to achieve structural bonding of metals without the need for primers, thanks to its unique formulation. When mixed at a 10:1 volume ratio at room temperature (23°C), it offers a working time of 4-6 minutes and achieves approximately 75% of its ultimate strength within 15-25 minutes, significantly reducing production cycle times and improving assembly efficiency.
Plexus MA830 fills the gap between slow-curing epoxies and low-strength instant adhesives, making it an ideal choice for:
ITW technical experts recommend application at ambient temperatures between 18-30°C for optimal performance. For carbon steel or stainless steel applications involving long-term exterior exposure, the use of a dedicated Plexus primer is suggested to enhance durability.
