Product Basic Attributes
Dowsil LDC2577D is a single-component, room-temperature curing silicone dispersion coating designed for electronic applications. It offers excellent moisture resistance, low stress, and durability across a wide temperature range. The product is a translucent liquid with a viscosity of 104 centipoise (0.1 Pascal-seconds) and cures to form a flexible, abrasion-resistant layer.
Product Overview
Dowsil LDC2577D is a low-stress silicone elastomer specifically formulated for protecting printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components from moisture, vibration, and harsh operating environments. It provides reliable dielectric insulation and ensures long-term performance in demanding conditions. The coating is easy to apply via dipping, spraying, or automated methods and requires only atmospheric moisture for curing, though mild heating can accelerate the process. Its fast room-temperature cure and reworkability make it an ideal choice for high-efficiency electronics manufacturing.
Special Properties
This coating stands out for its low stress during and after curing, minimizing stress on sensitive electronic components. It achieves fast room-temperature curing (5 minutes at 25°C) with optional heat acceleration (2 minutes at 60°C/15% RH). The cured film has a Shore D hardness of 23, balancing flexibility and durability. Electrical properties include a dielectric strength of 660 V/mil (26 kV/mm) and volume resistivity of 6×10¹³ Ω·cm, ensuring robust insulation. Notably, it maintains performance across a broad temperature range (-45°C to 200°C) and is easily reworkable for repair or modification.
