Chemlok 234X(NW) is a general-purpose covercoat adhesive manufactured by Lord. This black liquid adhesive utilizes an environmentally preferred non-chlorinated solvent system (Xylene) and is designed for application over Chemlok 205 primed metals and other rigid substrates.
Product Overview
When used with Chemlok 205 primer, this covercoat adhesive bonds a wide variety of vulcanized or unvulcanized rubber compounds. It offers flexibility for uncured-to-cured systems and cured elastomer-to-cured elastomer bonds with similar compositions. Application methods include brush, dip, roll coat, or spray.

Application Guidelines
Dry Film Thickness:
Standard: 12.7-25.4 microns (0.5-1.0 mil)
Cured Rubber: 20.3-38.1 microns (0.8-1.5 mil)
Cure Conditions:
Temperature: 149-177°C (300-350°F)
Time: 20-40 minutes
Compression: 5-10% during cure and cool down
