Krytox GPL 226 is a PTFE-thickened, NSF H-1 registered fluorinated grease with an anti-corrosion additive (sodium nitrite). It operates from -36°C to 260°C, offering chemical inertness and long-term lubrication in corrosive or high-temperature environments.
Product Introduction
Krytox GPL 226 is formulated with a perfluoropolyether (PFPE) base oil and thickened with PTFE, ensuring compatibility with metals, plastics, and elastomers. It is non-flammable, oxygen-service safe, and resistant to chemicals including acids, solvents, and steam. The grease provides excellent wear protection and extended relubrication intervals, reducing maintenance costs.
Special Properties
The inclusion of an anti-corrosion inhibitor enables Krytox GPL 226 to pass ASTM D1743 rust prevention tests, making it ideal for humid or chemically aggressive settings. Its PFPE structure ensures minimal volatility (<3% weight loss at 204°C) and indefinite shelf life when stored properly.
