Dowsil™ CN-8760 G is a two-part, gray, 1:1 mix ratio silicone elastomer designed as a thermally conductive encapsulant. It features room temperature or heat cure flexibility, moderate thermal conductivity, and meets UL 94 V-0 flame classification with a UL RTI rating of 150°C (302°F).

Product Description

This encapsulant cures to a flexible elastomer well-suited for protecting electrical/PCB system assemblies. It exhibits low viscosity and good flowability for fast processing, with a pot life of 100 minutes at 25°C. The material cures without exotherm at a constant rate regardless of sectional thickness and requires no post cure, allowing immediate service after cure completion. It provides reliable heat dissipation for electronic components.

Dowsil CN-8760 G offers a thermal conductivity of 0.67 W/mK (0.387 btu/hr ft °F) and cures to a Durometer Shore A hardness of 45. It demonstrates excellent electrical insulation properties with a dielectric strength of 24 kV/mm (625 volts/mil) and volume resistivity of 10¹⁶ ohm·cm. The material maintains stable dielectric properties across frequencies (2.88 at 100 Hz and 2.66 at 100 kHz) and operates effectively from -45°C to 200°C.
