Duroptix OE-6550 A/B Kit is a two-part (1:1 mix ratio), addition-cure, Methylphenyl Siloxane optical encapsulant introduced by DuPont for LED applications. It cures to a colorless, transparent elastomer featuring medium hardness and medium viscosity.

This product is specifically designed to meet the challenging LED market demands for high transmittance, thermal stability, and moisture resistance. It absorbs stresses from thermal cycling within the package to protect chips and bond wires, demonstrating excellent stability at lead-free reflow temperatures, serving as a high-performance solution for LED encapsulation.

Expanding on its basic attributes, OE-6550 features a high refractive index of 1.54 and 100% transparency (1mm@450nm), alongside superior electrical insulation (Volume Resistivity 9E+15 ohm*cm) and a broad operating range (-45°C to 200°C). The convenient 1:1 mix ratio suits automated dispensing, and it provides excellent unprimed adhesion (Die Shear 250 psi) to common substrates like Aluminum (Al).
