DUROPTIX OE-6351 is a two-part, 1:1 mix ratio, addition-cure optically transparent silicone encapsulant with low viscosity, self-priming adhesion and 24-hour pot life at 25°C, cured to Shore A 52 (JIS).

Designed for the demanding LED market, DUROPTIX OE-6351 offers high purity, moisture resistance, thermal stability and >98% optical transparency at 450 nm. The silicone absorbs thermally induced stresses inside LED packages, protecting the die and bond wires, and withstands lead-free reflow temperatures, making it suitable for modern LED assembly processes.

• Low Viscosity & Easy Processing:​ Part A ~3100 cP, Part B ~2400 cP, mixed ~2800 cP — enables smooth dispensing and bubble release in automated equipment.
• Self-Priming / No Primer Needed:​ Achieves unprimed lap shear adhesion of 360 psi (2.5 MPa) to glass, good bonding to Ag-plated leads and PPA without primer.
• Optical & Electrical Excellence:​ Refractive Index 1.41, Dielectric Strength 700 V/mil (28 kV/mm), Volume Resistivity 1.4×10¹⁶ Ω·cm.
• Wide Service Temp:​ Operational from –45°C to 200°C long term; thermal cycling down to –55°C can be evaluated per application.

DUROPTIX® OE-6351 is used for encapsulation and lens molding of SMD LEDs, high-power LED packages, COB (Chip-on-Board) modules, and automotive / general lighting LED units requiring long-term heat & UV resistance and non-tacky high-hardness finish. It is also suitable for optical component potting where high clarity and stress relief are needed.
