LOCTITE® EA E-90FL™ is a toughened, medium viscosity, industrial grade, two-component epoxy adhesive. The resin is an off-white to beige liquid, and the hardener is a dark gray liquid. After mixing in a 1:1 volume ratio (or 100:85 weight ratio), it forms a gray, opaque paste. This product cures at room temperature and offers an extended working life.
LOCTITE EA E-90FL is designed for bonding applications that require flexibility and impact resistance. Once mixed, the two-component epoxy cures at room temperature to form a flexible, gray bond line with excellent resistance to shock and impact. When fully cured, the adhesive is resistant to a wide range of chemicals and solvents and acts as an excellent electrical insulator. Its extended working life allows more time to adjust parts during assembly.

The cured product exhibits good flexibility with an elongation at break of 64% and a Shore D hardness of 60. In terms of mechanical properties, it demonstrates considerable bonding strength on various substrates. For instance, its lap shear strength on acid etched and abraded aluminum reaches 21.6 N/mm² (3,130 psi). Furthermore, environmental resistance test data shows that after 1000 hours of aging in air at 87°C, the bond strength increases to 151% of its initial value, indicating excellent thermal aging stability.
The document explicitly lists its typical applications, which include bonding plastic, metal, glass, wood, ceramic, rubber, and masonry materials where flexibility is required. It is particularly suited for low-stress, high-impact bonding applications of dissimilar materials. The document further specifies that this product can also be used for repairing strain gauges, sealing seams on fiberglass components, repairing printed circuit boards, bonding stainless steel inserts, and connecting rubber hose to steel tubing.
