Molykote 557 Silicone Dry Film Lubricant with Four-Ball Weld Load 1200N and Coefficient of Friction 0.07 for Melting Range 32-46°C

Molykote 557 is a colorless, nonstaining silicone dry film lubricant without intentional PTFE or PFAS. Supplied as a liquid or aerosol, it forms a wax-like film after solvent evaporation, delivering exceptional release and lubrication under extreme pressure and temperature conditions.

Designed for metalworking industries, this lubricant extends the life of cutting tools, dies, and molds while improving surface finish. It reduces stick-slip and wear on slides, cams, and bearings, with a service temperature range of -40°C to 43°C and a drying time of 30 minutes.

The film melts at 32°C, adhering tenaciously to surfaces. With a four-ball weld load of 1200N and a coefficient of friction of 0.07, it maintains reliable performance under high-pressure conditions.

It is used in steel and aluminum production for slitter blades and extrusion dies, in machine shops for drills and guides, and in textile/plastic industries for conveyors and sliding components.
