Loctite SF 7649 Activator – Fast Cure Accelerator for Anaerobic Adhesives
LOCTITE SF 7649™ is a fast-cure accelerator specifically designed for anaerobic adhesives and sealants on passive metals and inert surfaces. This copper salt and aliphatic amine-based activator significantly reduces fixture times, especially in low-temperature conditions and large bond gap applications.

Performance Characteristics
LOCTITE SF 7649™ features very fast drying (30-70 seconds at 20°C) with on-part life of ≤30 minutes. Certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61 for potable water systems up to 82°C. Achieves fixture time of ≤30 seconds on degreased steel using LOCTITE® 326™ with single-side activation.
Application Scenarios
Ideal for accelerating cure of anaerobic threadlockers, retaining compounds, and gasketing products on inert substrates including stainless steels, chromated surfaces, and anodized aluminum. Particularly effective in low-temperature conditions (<15°C). Applied by spraying or brushing onto surfaces before adhesive application.
