LOCTITE 495 is a one-part, low-viscosity, clear to pale straw-colored liquid ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive that cures by moisture and is primarily used for bonding plastics, rubber, and metals.

Performance Characteristics
LOCTITE 495 is a general-purpose instant adhesive that develops high bond strength in a very short time (fixture time <5 seconds on most substrates). It cures rapidly at room temperature upon exposure to moisture, typically achieving full cure and complete chemical/solvent resistance within 24 hours.
Special Properties
The curing speed is significantly influenced by bond gap, ambient humidity, and substrate type; optimal performance is achieved with small gaps and 40%-60% relative humidity. Accelerators can be used for large gaps but may reduce ultimate strength. Key features include rapid fixturing, high strength, and good environmental resistance.
