3M DP8005 is a two-part acrylic-based structural adhesive with a 10:1 mixing ratio by volume. This room-temperature curing adhesive is specifically engineered for bonding low-surface-energy plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene without requiring primers or surface treatments. Available in translucent and black variants.
Product Overview
This advanced adhesive serves as an effective replacement for mechanical fasteners and welding in plastic assembly applications. It provides excellent resistance to water, humidity, and chemicals while forming strong structural bonds on challenging substrates including TPOs and HDPE. Achieve handling strength in 2-3 hours with full cure completed in 8-24 hours at 23°C.
