MOLYKOTE® 7 Release Compound is a multifunctional silicone-based lubricant featuring exceptional thermal stability. Formulated with a blend of polydimethylsiloxane fluid and inert amorphous silica filler, it appears as a white translucent paste. Operating within a broad temperature range of -40°C to 204°C (-40°F to 400°F), it maintains a density of 1.0 g/cm³ and exhibits high dielectric strength (>450 V/mil) alongside minimal volatility (0.8% evaporation after 24 hours at 200°C).
As a premium release agent, MOLYKOTE® 7 is ideal for metal, rubber, plastic, and adhesive applications, delivering long-lasting lubrication and anti-adhesive performance. Its hydrophobic and antioxidative properties extend service life while meeting FDA 21 CFR 175.300 and NSF 51/61 standards for food-processing machinery and potable water systems. Application methods include manual application, automated equipment, or wiping; however, contact with silicone rubber components should be avoided.
