Product Overview
DOWSIL™ 718 is a one-component, neutral-cure, translucent silicone weatherproofing sealant featuring a Shore A hardness of 20 and ±25% movement capability. Designed for building construction applications, it provides excellent weatherability and long-term elasticity.
This ready-to-use sealant cures at room temperature upon exposure to atmospheric moisture, forming a durable rubber seal. It exhibits good flow characteristics with an extrusion rate of 300 g/min and tack-free time of approximately 18 minutes. The cured sealant maintains elasticity across a wide temperature range from -50°C to 150°C without hardening, cracking, or degrading.
