MOLYKOTE® 165 LT is a lithium soap-based grease containing solid lubricants and extreme pressure (EP) additives, specifically designed for lubricating highly stressed metal open gears and reducing gears. The product is black in color, exhibits extremely high load-carrying capacity and adhesion, and has a broad operating temperature range from -25°C to +120°C, along with providing good corrosion protection.

With a drop point of 175°C, it maintains stability at elevated temperatures. The grease achieved a perfect corrosion rating of 0 using the SKF-Emcor method, along with excellent water resistance and oxidation stability (pressure drop of only 0.2 bar after 100 hours at 99°C), ensuring long service life in humid and high-temperature environments.

MOLYKOTE® 165 LT is specifically designed for open gears subjected to high stresses and adverse weather conditions. It has proven successful in crushing plants, transmission gears, and threaded spindles of heavy, crank-driven presses.
